Pastor Myrtle Townsend is a native of Chicago, IL, and is presently serving with her husband Pastor Edward Townsend of Living Water Ministries International located in East Chicago, IN. We are believers who walk by faith and live by the word of God.

Pastor Myrtle attended Liberty Temple Logos Bible College in Chicago, IL. She was ordained as an Evangelist by Apostle Clifford E. Turner. She was installed to the call of Pastor by Doctors Walter and Sandra Gillespie. Pastor Myrtle and her husband were ordained as Pastors under the covering and spiritual leadership of Apostle I.V. Hilliard and Dr. Bridget Hilliard of New Light Church in Houston, Texas. Living Water Ministries International is a member of the Association of Independent Ministries a fellowship established to spiritually mentor pastors.  

Pastor Myrtle has volunteered to serve women and children in shelters. Ministering healing, restoration, and hope to women of all ages from her own life experience. Sharing the love of God and His mercy in her messages that set her free from the past. She has the heart of God to see souls come to Christ, believers encouraged, and to see our young people become a vital part of God’s instruments upon the earth.

She is also the founder and president of Dignity Women’s Ministry. Its mission is to exhort and edify women with words of encouragement. To empower women to fulfill their purpose and walk in their God-given destiny. To teach women to gain an understanding of His word with dependence on the Holy Spirit. To build women who are loving, firm, and unmovable always excelling in whatever they endeavor to do. Developing women who in all things are more than conquerors.

Pastor Myrtle is a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, speaker, and author. Pastor Myrtle and her husband are residents of East Chicago, IN.
